An exclusive lounge for travellers is to be built in Copenhagen
Revolut has announced that it will open its first airport lounge under its own brand, Revolut Lounge, in 2027. The exclusive lounge for travellers will be located in Copenhagen. It is set to be a flagship project, which will subsequently be replicated at other airport hubs. Access to this new facility is set to be another feature of the premium customer offering.

The British fintech bank explains that Copenhagen Airport was chosen because of its reputation as a world-class centre for Scandinavian design and innovative infrastructure solutions, as well as its excellent global connectivity. The choice of Denmark also highlights Revolut’s dynamic growth in the Nordic region, which represents a huge growth opportunity for the company.
Revolut has already got its customers used to the fact that it announces exciting new developments from time to time. In the past, not all projects have been successful, or have taken much longer to implement than originally announced. Building a network of airport lounges is an extremely ambitious undertaking, one that only the wealthiest financial institutions – such as American Express, Chase and Capital One – can afford. Revolut itself is slowly becoming such an institution. The project has a good chance of success because, despite operating under its own brand, the bank will be developing these lounges in partnership with the experienced operator Plaza Premium Group, which manages the world’s largest network of airport lounges. Every year since 2016, this brand has been recognised by the rating agency Skytrax as the company offering the best independent airport lounges in the world.

On the other hand, payment organisations such as Visa and Mastercard, as well as many banks – including Revolut in Poland (for flights within the Schengen area, a Dragon Pass allows you, for example, to access the almost always crowded Preludium Lounge) – offer customers access to existing airport lounges. You can usually use them at a reduced rate or for free, depending on the type of card or account you hold.
