The Dogecoin-themed plastic card costs 124.99 PLN
The British fintech company has added a new traditional card to its range that enables cryptocurrency payments. Its design references Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency popularized in the media by Elon Musk. Interestingly, when a contactless payment is made, the dog’s glasses on the card’s design start to flash. The card can be used to pay at all outlets that accept Mastercard and Visa payments.

It is available to customers in the UK and the European Economic Area, excluding Hungary, Switzerland, and Portugal. Polish customers will pay PLN 124.99 for the card.
At this point, it is worth explaining the technical aspects of making cryptocurrency payments using a Revolut card. Once the customer initiates a transaction, the fintech company automatically converts the cryptocurrency to a traditional fiat currency at its own exchange rate, charging a conversion fee. This fee depends on the subscription plan held. As stated on Revolut’s profile on the X platform, no exchange fee is currently charged for transactions made with a physical card.

Let me remind you that in 2024, Revolut launched virtual payment cards enabling cryptocurrency transactions. The company holds a crypto-asset service provider license under the EU’s MiCA regulatory framework, issued by the Cypriot regulator. As a result, the fintech company also allows cryptocurrency trading via its own mobile app.
