The Warsaw centre will employ staff specialising in strategic advisory and consulting. The experts will support clients across Europe in areas such as data analysis, digital product development, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and business strategy development. By 2028, the number of qualified employees is expected to double to over 300.

In turn, Mastercard's technology centre in Gdańsk will focus on open banking and data-driven innovation. These services will be provided to customers worldwide. Within two years, the company plans to employ approximately 100 highly qualified experts in Pomerania.

According to company representatives, the expansion of Mastercard's operations in Warsaw and Gdańsk is part of the American payment organisation's global strategy to create centres of excellence that support the digital transformation of the financial sector. Mastercard chose Poland for its highly skilled professionals, central geographic location in Europe, and stable regulatory environment. The decision to strengthen its structures in Poland coincides with the 30th anniversary of the company's presence on our market.

We need places in Poland that play a key role in direct customer contact and support the development of modern solutions in the financial ecosystem. It is these places that strengthen our position as a significant financial centre on the world map", comments Marta Życińska, General Manager of Mastercard Europe's Polish branch. 'The decision to expand in Warsaw and Gdańsk confirms Mastercard's confidence in the potential of Polish staff, the stability of the country and its strategic role in Europe,' she emphasises.
