The Mutual Insurance Company (Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych) 'TUW' has announced that it is making an application available to its customers that allows them to track a tow truck that will arrive at the scene in the event of a breakdown or accident. This convenience is offered as part of AutoAssistance insurance.

After calling for assistance, the driver receives a text message with the claim number and a link to an application that lets them track the tow truck's location and its estimated time of arrival in real time. The information is updated continuously. According to TUW, this is intended to provide greater comfort to the person waiting for assistance, reducing their uncertainty and eliminating the need to make additional calls to the assistant.

Users of assistance services for policies sold by other insurers may also encounter such solutions. TUW is therefore catching up with the standards introduced by its larger competitors. TUW  is one of the smaller insurers operating on the Polish market. According to UFG data, its share of motor third-party liability insurance premiums was 1.5% in the first half of 2025, ranking it 9th among insurers operating in this segment.

It is the possibility of reporting damage by sending a photo of the damaged car's registration plates and a telephone number.
