The solution was implemented in cooperation with BNP Paribas
Ryanair announced on Thursday that it has implemented Blik payments. According to a press release, the service is available for all bookings made in Polish zloty. The new method can be used to pay for flight tickets and additional services, such as extra baggage or priority boarding.

"The introduction of Blik payments for Ryanair was made possible thanks to the Axepta BNP Paribas payment gateway. This gives Ryanair a tool that supports business development and optimises operating costs, while enabling customers to make fast, convenient and secure online payments," comments Rafał Piotrowski, responsible for e-commerce product development at BNP Paribas, on the implementation.

Until now, Ryanair has offered payment methods such as credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. However, Apple Pay payments are only available in the Ryanair mobile app.
BNP Paribas, on the other hand, is one of several banks operating on the Polish market, alongside ING and mBank, for example, which offer an online payment gateway.
