Information about the amount of the transaction was disclosed by the management board of the Blik operator in the report on operations in 2019
In April, the court formally registered an extension of the shareholder list of Polski Standard Płatności (Blik's operator) to include Mastercard. Thus, their number increased to seven. In addition to the international payment organization, there are also banks from Poland, including: Alior, ING, mBank, Millennium, PKO BP and Santander. Everyone now has an equal number of shares, approximately 14.3 percent. Mastercard's entry to the PSP has, among others serve the global development of Blik.
Both Mastercard, banks from Poland and the Blik management company itself avoided giving the amount that Mastercard paid to become a shareholder in Blik. Until now. The PSP management board report on activities in 2019 has just appeared in the National Court Register. The company's authorities revealed in it that the American payment organization for almost 423,180 shares with a nominal value of PLN 21.609 million paid almost four times more, exactly PLN 83,333,333.

The amount that Mastercard decided to invest in the PSP allows us to determine the value at which the American payment organization has valued the Polish company. If we multiply 83.3 million by seven, i.e. the number of owners with equal share in PSP, it turns out that the Blik's operator was valued at over 583 million PLN. It is about PLN 130 million more than cashless.pl estimated in the autumn of last year.
