The bank concluded that, these days, customers prefer to communicate with the bank via channels other than online forums
Bank Śląski has decided to close its discussion forum, Społeczność ING. At one time, it was a very popular place among the bank’s customers to exchange views on the products and services the bank offers. According to information on the forum’s website, it currently has over 25,000 users. For me, the forum has often been a source of information about changes to the bank’s range of products and services.

“For years, Społeczność ING has been a place where we’ve discussed finances, shared experiences, and sought answers to everyday questions. Thanks to you, thousands of valuable discussions, comments and pieces of advice have been generated. From 23 November, our blog and forum will no longer be available in their current form, ” reads the announcement on the Społeczność ING website. As of yesterday, it is no longer possible to post new messages on the forum or create new accounts.

How does ING explain its decision? “We are seeing a shift in the way customers use online channels and communicate with brands. Today, conversations are increasingly taking place on social media, messaging apps and channels that do not require additional registration. We are analysing where customers are more willing and more likely to seek information, comment and ask questions. That is why we are developing channels that are simpler, faster and more natural for customers,” wrote the bank’s press office in response to a request from cashless.pl for comment on the matter.
