Over the course of the year, the number of cities where you can buy public transport tickets in popular operator apps has increased
As every year, cashless.pl has prepared a list of apps for purchasing public transport tickets. You will find out which operators' apps support the largest number of cities, as well as which apps you can use in your desired location, since the most popular apps may not always meet your needs.
Interestingly, the number of cities where public transport fares can be paid using popular apps has increased. A year ago, our list included 110 items, including 108 localities and two transport organisers in larger areas, namely the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis (which provides transport services in 56 cities and municipalities, referred to as GZM in the table below) and the Gdańsk Bay Metropolitan Transport Union (in the table below: Trójmiasto MZKZG), offering tickets valid for travel in Gdańsk, Gdynia, Pruszcz Gdański, Reda, Rumia, Sopot, and Wejherowo. It's also worth noting that tickets for Warsaw Public Transport are valid for travel in the surrounding municipalities as well. Now there are as many as 120 items in the table, reflecting the situation as of July 2025 (including GZM, MZKZG and the broader Warsaw area).

We observed a significant increase, even though the number of applications we analyzed decreased this year. mPay withdrew from the ranking at its request. The operator informed us that due to the organisational changes it is currently undergoing and the resulting fluctuation in the number of cities it serves, it is currently unable to provide precise information about their number and a reliable list.
This information was provided to us by Mobilet, SkyCash, Zbiletem, GoPay, and Jakdojade. Mobilet boasts the most extensive network, allowing users to purchase tickets for travel to as many as 86 cities and municipalities affiliated with GZM and those served by MZKZG.
Last year, mPay and SkyCash competed for second place among the most extensive networks. Now, in the absence of data from mPay, SkyCash has taken over the role of runner-up. With its app, you can travel around the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie metropolitan area, the Tri-City area and 59 other locations.
Next in line were Zbiletem (with 39 cities served, as well as GZM and MZKZG), GoPay (30 cities + the Tri-City), and Jakdojade (enabling ticket purchases mainly in the largest cities – a total of 12 centres, as well as the GZM Metropolis and the Tri-City).
The table below shows which of these apps work in your city and in the places you visit. The info here is about single-use or short-term tickets. Keep in mind that long-term tickets are a different story – in some cities, you can buy them through apps, while in others you can't. Importantly, in some cities, in addition to nationwide apps, there are also local solutions, such as Urbancard in Wrocław, Transport GZM in the Silesian-Zagłębie metropolitan area, Mint Mobile in Bydgoszcz and Łódź, and the app developed by GoPay for Jaworzno.

The public transport ticket purchase service is also a popular VAS (value-added service) in banking apps. Thanks to cooperation with operators handling public transport ticket sales, the following banks have introduced this service into their mobile banking: Alior, BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole, ING, Millennium, Pekao, PKO BP, Santander, and VeloBank. Almost all of them use Mobilet's services in this area, while Pekao has decided to partner with SkyCash.
