
The bank enables payments to be made using all wearable devices fitted with Fidesmo technology
A few days ago, cashless.pl reported that Pekao bank had been added to the list of card issuers offering SwatchPay payments. Its press office confirmed that customers with Mastercard cards can already use this solution. 'Shortly, the bank will also make Swatch watch payments available for Visa cards,' was the response to cashless.pl's questions on this matter.

According to information provided by Pekao's press office, the bank's customers can use mobile payments with all devices equipped with Fidesmo technology. These include not only Swatch watches and Pago and Laks payment rings, but also various smartwatches, wristbands, and other gadgets from a dozen or so producers cooperating with Fidesmo.

Interestingly, the list of Polish institutions that also enable payments with all devices equipped with Fidesmo technology includes 24 entities, including eight banks: Pekao, mBank, Alior, Credit Agricole, VeloBank, PKO BP, BPS and BNP Paribas. There are also loan companies and fintech XTB, which has recently started offering a mobile wallet with a payment card.
