Autopay will sell eSIMs through banks that cooperate with the company
The press office of Sopot-based Autopay reported that the company has offered Autopay's eSIM service. It is based on a virtual SIM card that does not require physical installation in a mobile device and is purchased and activated entirely online. Such a card functions like a plastic SIM with a chip, allowing phone calls and Internet access in all regions of the world.

Autopay says it will sell eSIMs, for example, through banks that cooperate with the company. "We will soon be able to announce cooperation in this regard. As Autopay, we offer the possibility of launching eSIMs as an added service, just as we now support partners in selling top-ups, gift coupons, and energy vouchers," says Andrzej Szewczyk of Autopay.
The name of the institution that is to be the first to enable eSIM purchase was not given. However, when Autopay implemented another innovative service a few years ago, namely highway payments, the first bank to provide such a solution in its application was Millennium. So perhaps eSIMs will also appear first in this institution's offering?

Activating eSIM is supposed to be simple. First, you need to check if your phone has a virtual SIM function. If it does, select the appropriate package, fill in the details, and pay for the order. After payment, the user will be redirected to the relevant phone settings, where eSIM can be activated.
Mobile banking eSIM cards are already there, but for now, it is not yet standard. Revolut offers such a solution in our country. The eSIM cards have appeared in customers' applications. Recently, a new offer for travelers was introduced by Pekao, and eSIMs are also part of it. However, in this case, it is only a discount for purchasing a card in another institution's external application.
