For the payments organisation, this is the fifth such unit in the world and the first in our region
Visa intends to open a technology and product hub in Poland. For the global payments organisation, this will be the fifth unit of its kind, but the first in Central and Eastern Europe.
According to the American organisation, within a few years 1.5 thousand specialists in new technologies will find employment in the hub. The offer is directed not only to Poles, but also, for example, Ukrainians. More information about the project is expected to emerge in the coming months.
Both the hub and similar units are intended to support the development of digital commerce and payments. Visa explains in its announcement that the aim is to operate 24/7. Rajat Taneja, responsible for technology at the organisation, added that his company is currently focusing on cyber security, greater accessibility of its network and work on artificial intelligence, among other things. In turn, Jakub Kiwior, managing director of the Central and Eastern Europe region at Visa, said that the next wave of innovations proposed by the organisation can also be expected in Poland.
