The Pospay register-terminal will hit the Polish market in January

During a press conference on Wednesday eService and Posnet representatives showed us a new device called Pospay. It is a combination of a fiscal printer and payment terminal that allows a business to accept contactless payments as well as magnetic stripe and microchip cards. The new solution also offers sales support software that can be installed on the device.

The new register-terminal will be available since January 2019 via Posnet’s sales network. The basic offer will list it for 1699 zł net plus a 35 zł net monthly charge (approx. 400 euro plus 8 euro a month). There will also be a 0,69 or 0,79 percent charge per transaction for Visa and Mastercard cards respectively, plus 3 gr per transaction (less than 1 cent). Businesses will also be able to receive the Pospay as part of the Cashless Poland program. In that case the buyer will bear no transaction or operational costs for one year.

Pospay is the second 2-in-1 register-terminal device on the Polish market. iPOS has been selling a device called iPOS Duet for several years now. It also combines a fiscal printer and a terminal made by Verifone. However, the Pospay is significantly smaller and more convenient, and thus can be categorized as a mobile device.
