Over the course of the year, the number of banking app users increased by one tenth. Market leaders: PKO BP, Pekao and mBank.

The latest data from cashless.pl shows that the number of mobile banking app users in Poland has reached 27 million

Data collected by our service shows that in the first quarter of this year, banks operating on the market had over 26.9 million customers who regularly used their mobile applications. This represents an increase of 1.6% compared to the last quarter of last year and 9% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Our statistics take into account customers who log in via the app at least once each month of the quarter under analysis.

As in previous quarters, PKO BP is the bank with the largest number of app users. In Q1, it had 6.044 million users, which represents a quarterly increase of 2.3% and an annual increase of 8.3%. The next positions were taken by banks with at least 3 million mobile app users. This group includes Pekao, mBank, Santander and ING. Millennium is also approaching this level.

In the last quarter, the number of app users increased the most in percentage terms at Credit Agricole, Santander Consumer Bank and Alior. The biggest decline was seen at SGB.

Let me remind you that cashless.pl also presents statistics on the number of mobile and mobile-only customers in banks. The first of these analyses contains data on people who log into their accounts not only through apps, but also through browsers running on mobile devices. The second analysis concerns people who manage their accounts exclusively via smartphones or tablets, using apps or browsers.
