Credit Agricole is introducing a brand-new account to its range

At the same time, the bank has withdrawn the standard ‘Konto dla Ciebie’ account from its current range and announced that it will make Blik available to children

Credit Agricole Bank has announced the launch of a brand-new personal current account, called ‘Konto dla Ciebie max’. You may have read on cashless.pl as early as last summer that the French bank might have such plans, when the logos for the new account appeared in the Patent Office Bulletin.

You can open and use the ‘Konto dla Ciebie max’ account free of charge. The standard fee for a debit card is PLN 10 per month. You can avoid this charge by making cashless transactions using your card or Blik totalling at least PLN 500 per month. In addition, for PLN 10, you can subscribe to your account, which allows you to use foreign currency accounts free of charge, make 3 SWIFT transfers via online banking, make 3 cash withdrawals abroad, and pay by card up to PLN 10,000 without a currency conversion fee.

At the same time, Crédit Agricole has decided to withdraw its flagship ‘Konto dla Ciebie’ account from its range. The ‘Konto dla Ciebie VIP’ account has met the same fate. The new price list now includes virtual cards – i.e., those without a physical plastic card – and Blik payments for the bank’s youngest customers under 13. However, the bank is to announce the availability of the latter service in a separate press release.

Turning back to the ‘Konto dla Ciebie max’, it is worth comparing the prices of the services offered with it to those currently in force for users of the previous flagship product, namely the ‘Konto dla Ciebie’. The new table of fees and commissions shows that transactions carried out at branches have become significantly more expensive; for example, deposits and withdrawals have risen from PLN 0 to PLN 20. It is worth bearing in mind that most of the bank’s branches no longer offer traditional counter services. Standard bank transfers have also become more expensive – from PLN 15 to PLN 20. In contrast, instant transfers initiated via online banking have risen from PLN 5 to PLN 7.

Furthermore, Credit Agricole’s new price list shows that cash withdrawals from Planet Cash ATMs are free of charge with the ‘Konto dla Ciebie max’ account, whilst withdrawals from other machines cost PLN 6. Under the old terms, all withdrawals typically cost PLN 9, but it was possible to avoid these charges. Cash withdrawals using Blik from ATMs other than Planet Cash have increased to PLN 6, whereas they used to be free of charge. Cashback has decreased from PLN 3 to PLN 1. Several other services have become more expensive, e.g., card replacement has risen from PLN 10 to PLN 20, and a transfer from a savings account initiated at a branch has increased from PLN 8 to PLN 20.
